Collaboration with First Nations
Thesis Gold is committed to developing a successful project that is forged through meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with First Nations.
Our environmental approach is guided by our engagement with First Nations. Together, we co-manage environmental planning through an Environmental Management Committee (EMC) and other measures, which ensures oversight on key areas such as:
-
Mine design and environmental data collection
-
Environmental mitigation and monitoring programs
-
Regulatory applications and approvals
Through this collaboration, we integrate scientific and traditional knowledge, which strengthens our ability to responsibly manage environmental impacts.
Meaningful Partnerships & Local Impact
We are committed to early engagement, economic participation, and long-term partnerships with First Nations and local communities.
Local Procurement & Business Opportunities
Thesis Gold works to maximize employment and contracting benefits for First Nations members and businesses.
Since 2018, First Nations businesses have secured over $45 million CAD in contracts related to exploration, environmental monitoring, and site development.
Ongoing Engagement
Thesis Gold’s Board of Directors believes that good corporate governance improves corporate performance and benefits all shareholders.
Thesis has established regular meetings and communication with First Nation groups to facilitate ongoing engagement, and to discuss topics such as project updates, co-environmental management, employment and training opportunities, and economic opportunities, throughout the project’s lifecycle. By embedding these governance structures into our operations, we ensure First Nations play an active role in shaping our project.
